Zeng Laide, academic leader of calligraphy at Changxin International Art Institute.
Born in 1956, Peng Xi County of Sichuan province. National first-class artist, Vice President of China National Painting Academy, Executive Director of China National Painting Academy, member of Art Committee, Director of Teaching Department, outstanding expert of Ministry of Culture, Director of Chinese Calligrapher's Association, visiting professor of Beijing University, director of Beijing Laide Art Center. In the early 1980s, Hu Gongshi, a famous calligrapher, was taken as his teacher to study the aesthetics of today's people, integrate the spirit of the era and create his own calligraphy style, which had a wide impact at home and abroad.
In recent years his works had been displayed in several National Art Museums of China: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Wuhan, XiAn, Chengdu, Hefei, Shenyang, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, Shandong, etc, every city’s art museum had a Zeng Laide “Art Of Painting and Calligraphy”exhibition, which has attracted extensive attention and has been praised by the calligraphy community as “cultural phenomenon of calligraphy”, “gallery wizard” and “Zeng Laide, origin of calligraphy”.
In 2005, “Zeng Laide Art of Calligraphy Exhibition was held at the British Museum in the United Kingdom, as well as the East-West Cultural Summit Dialogue Series “Mo Le”, which caused an intense echo in the international community; the calligraphy work “Tiandi Zhi Xiang” has been then collected by the British museum.
