Ou Jianping, male, Chinese, Han nationality, was born on May 24, 1956 in Hengyang, Hunan Province. Special Professor, Changxin International College of Art, Yunnan University. Fellow of Dance Research Institute of China Academy of Art, supervisor of doctoral and master's degree students and course teacher, director of foreign dance research office. The speaker of CCTV 100 Platforms, the judges of the National Dance Competition of the Ministry of Culture, the National Dance Competition of the Chinese Dancer Association, the National Dance Competition of the Lotus Award, the CCTV Dance Competition and the National University Students Art Exhibition of the Ministry of Education. In 1998, he was awarded the title of "Excellent Expert" by the Ministry of Culture, and in 2009, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Contribution Dancer" by the Chinese Dancer Association.
In the past 25 years, he has published 28 books and 36 books (including 8 traditional Chinese characters in Taiwan) in both Chinese and English. Furthermore, he served as an international consultant and contributor to the “Encyclopedia of International Dance” (six volumes) published by Oxford University Press, which is the most authoritative reference book in international academic circles.
