Male, born on November 6, 1957 in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Graduated from Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, Department of Decoration, Bachelor's Degree in Book Art in 1983. From 1983 to 2005, he was appointed Director of Binding and Design Department of Yunnan People's Publishing House. Now he is a professor and tutor of master's degree in Northern University of Technology. From 2012 to 2014, he served as Vice-Dean of Art College of Northern University of Technology, Member of China Artists Association, Member of China Book Binding Designer Association, Member of the Third Book Binding Zheng Committee of China, Fellow of Wu Guanzhong Research Center of Qinghua Academy of Fine Arts, Judge of the Fourth National Book Binding and Design Papers Evaluation Conference and Judge of the Sixth National Book Binding and Design Exhibition.

He visited the United States in 1994 and participated in the Yunnan Heavy Painting Exhibition held in San Francisco, USA.

In 1999, the book and art work "Famous Flowers of China" won the Gold Prize of the Fifth National Book Binding Exhibition (Painting Book category); in 1999, "Listening to Tibet" (in cooperation with Sili) won the Gold Prize of the Fifth National Book Binding Exhibition (Literature and Art category).
